in the part of the film austin powers gold member what we whachted we got a very clear idea of some sterotypes in the film the first steryotype we get is are hero/secret agent austin powers we can tell that he is a sceret agent because almost emideiantly we see him shooting down helicopters flying through clifs and of corse he gets the girl in less than one seacond.In some ways he is exaderatd because we find ou what we are seing is actuly a film being made in a film about austin himself and the man who is playing austin is the definition osf secrect agent him self tom cruse And the actual austin powers is a very goofy looking out of place sixtees agentgent.

the second sterotype we get to see is the villian who is in a grey suit holding a cat who sort of looks like one of the old james bond villians and looks very much like a villian i would picture in my mind.another thing what makes him the villian is that the helicopter we see at the begining has his evil logo on it. and of course you couldn't have you doctor evil without his mini me who is playe by dani devito


the next thing i will talk about is the codes and conventions used in this opening scene. In the small chunk of this film it already uses differant effect to realy bring out and highlight the action in the film this is used in multiple differant parts the first thing what realy stands out Is tom cruse sky diving at intence speeds the camare realy is helps add to this because it is following him what realy gives us a taste of how fast he is plummiting towards the ground.

Then austin (tom cruse) opens his narrowly directing himself throught the cliffs of Utar what realy brings this out is how the cammera work what uses traking shots what brings ou the speed and the motion of what is going on another thing this shows is the jeprody what tom cruse is oing through with the risk of him possableity of him hitting these narrowly spaced clifs what intyces the viewer to the movie.et

And of course we wouldn't have an action film without the action the first bit of action what we get to see is from a good old fashion helecopter we first see the helecopter flying over the sandy planes almost scouting out its target then it suddenly finds what its is looking for and shoots at it with a heavy shower of chain gun bullets this realy brings out the taste of action because we see the bullets narrowly miss hitting are poor heroing and knoking her of her harley.

The seacond part of action we get again fetures the helecopter and once agian start to barrarge are heroes with bullets and missiles this time very similar to what i said before builds up the secens of action and jeoprady because one wrong move from are hero's they will bet blown to pieces by this helecopter what soon meats it's end from a rather heroic stunt thrown out by are hero what envolves flinging himself over the top of the helecopter shooting it with two submachien guns and safly landing back in his car. These stunts and realy make the film better because it makes the auidience think will he die or live or loose or succed.
